New quality lead for PRSAS

We sat down with Rachel Williams, a respiratory physiotherapist and co-clinical lead South West Respiratory Network. The PRSAS team will be following the Cornwall Pulmonary Rehabilitation Team through a series of blogs to discuss their experiences of the PRSAS accreditation journey from beginning to end.

To celebrate our five-year anniversary of the PRSAS programme, we’ve sat down with members of our Pulmonary Rehabilitation community to hear what their experience has been. To kick us off, we’ve talked to Kate Savage (clinical lead physiotherapist) and Pramod Selkar (head of service) from Kent Community Health Pulmonary Rehabilitation Team to hear about their journey through the accreditation pathway. Kent Community Health was the fifth service to be accredited by the PRSAS programme in February 2022, and were commended by their patients and managers in their feedback. They’ve gone from strength to strength since their accreditation and have become a pioneer of the PRSAS programme within their network.

This month we talked to Alex Pegg, a project officer working with the Greater Manchester ICB, to discuss how the ICB collectively approached PRSAS accreditation. The ICB funded 13 services to join the accreditation pathway and have provided a fantastic level of support for their participating services, encouraging shared learning and collaborative meetings between colleagues.
