2023 has been an exciting year for our programme – we have hit several significant milestones with your help, including our 5th anniversary and having 150 services registered to the programme. We congratulate all of our registered services on their progress towards accreditation so far! This year also saw our 10th PR service becoming fully accredited, and we are excited to continue to support services on their accreditation pathway in 2024.
Our team has grown this year; we welcomed Maria Buxton to the clinical lead role and look forward to her contributions in 2024. We have also been joined by Ellen Bowyer, our new programme administrator.
To best support our registered services, we held a grand total of 20 virtual beginners, advanced and domain support sessions. We also delivered our annual accreditation training workshop in person in September. Services were able to come together and work through the challenges of accreditation, whilst being guided through the accreditation journey by the clinical and operational team.
In addition to training, we have updated the resource library with several new resources including our lower limb strength testing FAQ, our workforce planning template and staff survey template. We were able to meet some of you this year at conferences; we attended ARNS, ACPRC, PCRS, BTS and SPRAG. The research presented at each was high standard, and we enjoyed meeting the PR community across the country.
Looking forward to the new year, we will be continuing our assessments and training. We will be releasing a new wall planner for 2024 along with the dates of all our training sessions – all registered services welcome! We will also be conducting a full review of our PRSAS standards, so stay engaged with our Twitter, newsletter and blogs to ensure you catch the latest news.
